What is the duration of the Data Engineering course?

The course runs for approximately 3 months (17 weeks). There are multiple schedule options available, including weekday evening and weekend sessions, allowing you to choose the format that best fits your availability.

What is the format of the course?

The course is held live-online, with real-time interactive sessions.

What topics and tools will I learn during the course?

Throughout the course, you will work with essential data engineering technologies such as Apache Airflow, Kafka, NiFi, Avro, Parquet, and Arrow. You’ll also gain hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, and ClickHouse. You will learn to design and build APIs using FastAPI, work with Python for data transformation, and understand the principles of ETL/ELT, orchestration, streaming data, and more.

Who is this course for?

This course is designed for data analysts who already know Python and want to transition into data engineering, as well as software developers who are looking to deepen their skills in modern data infrastructure and tooling.

What skills will I have after completing the course?

By the end of the course, you’ll be able to design and manage scalable, reliable data pipelines, work confidently with both batch and streaming systems, build and deploy data services, and apply for roles such as data engineer or analytics engineer.

Who teaches the course?

The course is led by Guja Lomsadze, an experienced data engineer with over 7 years in the field. Guja has held leadership roles at companies such as Carnival Maritime, Merck, and EPAM Global.

Is the course hands-on? Will I build a project?

Yes, the course is built around practical application. Students complete regular exercises and an individual final project to demonstrate the skills they’ve learned.
